Chasing a Dream: Tulip Season in Holland Is Calling My Name
As a travel advisor, I’ve been lucky to help others plan unforgettable journeys all over the world—from sipping wine in Tuscany to cruising through Alaskan fjords. But there’s one destination that has firmly stayed at the top of my personal bucket list: seeing the tulip fields of Holland in full bloom.
Every spring, the Dutch countryside transforms into a living rainbow. Vast fields come alive with vibrant rows of tulips—reds, pinks, purples, yellows—stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s a scene so breathtaking, so dreamlike, that even photos can’t quite do it justice (although I’ve pinned plenty on Pinterest!).
Keukenhof Gardens, often called “The Garden of Europe,” is the crown jewel of tulip season. With over 7 million bulbs blooming in every imaginable shade, it’s truly a floral wonderland. Just thinking about strolling through those perfectly manicured paths, camera in hand, makes my heart flutter.
Of course, it’s not just about the flowers. Holland in the spring offers charming canal-side towns, windmills gently spinning in the breeze, bike rides through the countryside, and warm stroopwafels from local markets. It’s a destination filled with joy, color, and culture—and I can’t wait to experience it all someday soon.
If tulip season in Holland is on your bucket list too, let’s start dreaming together. Whether it’s a river cruise that stops in Amsterdam during peak bloom or a land tour that explores the heart of the Dutch flower region, I’d love to help make it happen—for you and for me!
Here’s to chasing beauty, color, and dreams—one destination at a time.
